The Mission

Sustenance

I like to write, I like to eat, and I like to discover. One day I woke up and decided to put the three together in a website. Then I sat on the couch. My wife said I was ‘retired.’ If I was 65, ok, she’d have a point there. But I’m not. But she still had a point there.

One night, watching a series on Netflix, a main character decides volunteer work might bring her fulfillment. Light bulb goes off in my head; maybe that’s the kick I’m missing. I gave it some thought, and about 10 seconds later, decided that was absolutely what I needed to make the website happen. A reason. A real, bonafide reason.

The Nashville Food Project is that reason. I’m not going to beat you over the head with this, beg for you to give, etc. (though I will make it easy for you to do so through the Giving page). The Nashville Food Project connects people and food in our community. If you go to its site, you’ll see there’s a whole lot more to it than that. It’s as honorable a cause as I can think of to support, and to support it is the best reason I can think of to start a website on food in Nashville.
